Fig It!

What did you call that cake? That is what they will say when you serve this moist, rich and decadent treat.
I can’t take credit for the name of this over the top cake. But you will have to make the cake and figure out if you agree with the name….
For all of you folks that miss your Better Than Sex Cake - here is a gluten free version. DiAnn recently sent me an email requesting a recipe for this scandalous cake. I have to admit I didn’t know what she was talking about but the name of the cake intrigued me. She also sent a link to her old recipe for the cake and I made gluten free modifications to meet our needs.
Warning: if you are making this for your family. you might want to change the name:) And if you are on a diet, you might not want to make this cake – you really can’t stop eating it.
It is not just the name of the cake that is scandalous – the ingredients are so yummy and rich that some of you might just think that this is better than the real deal:)
For the test recipe, we used Betty Crocker Gluten Free Devil’s Food Cake Mix* and it worked very well.
P.S. – I’m working on a dairy free version. Hopefully I’ll have it to you soon!
1 gluten free German Chocolate Cake* baked, made with buttermilk or So Delicious Coconut Kefir

3/4 cup gluten free hot fudge

3/4 cup gluten free butterscotch topping

3/4 sweetened condensed milk

1 bag Heath Bar Pieces, divided

1 tub of whipped topping
To make the German Chocolate Cake*, prepare your favorite gluten free chocolate cake mix that can accommodate a 9×13 pan. For the liquid, use either buttermilk or So Delicious Coconut Kefir (either plain or vanilla). Bake as directed. Allow to cool but do not remove the cake from the pan.
Once cooled, use the handle of a wooden spoon to poke holes in the top of the cake. Pour the hot fudge over the cake and allow it to soak into the holes. Next pour the butterscotch sauce over the cake and allow to soak in. Then pour the condensed milk and allow it to soak in.
Once everything has been absorbed, sprinkle half of the bag of Heath bar pieces over the cake. Spread the whipped topping over the pieces. Then sprinkle the remaining pieces over the whipped topping.
