Fig It!

Ingredients:

6 oz black tea, brewed strong
2 oz bourbon
1 oz unsweetened almond milk
¾ oz Jo Snow Xmas in a Cup syrup

Method:

1. Mix all ingredients except bourbon in a mug.
2. Microwave for about one minute
3. Add bourbon to mug.
4. Garnish with a cinnamon stick.

#1 Microwave times may vary.
#2 Alternately heat the toddy in a pot on the stove. Temperature should be 140-150 degrees.
#3 You can also make this as a big batch to serve on a snowy afternoon.

Multiply the recipe by four to make a quart, by eight to make a half gallon and sixteen to make a gallon.
Heat your toddy in a pot to about 140-150 degrees. Never go above 160, you risk scalding the milk.
Don't include the bourbon when you batch up your recipe. Add it to each mug individually. You don't want that alcohol simmering off now, do you?
Keep your toddy warm in a crock pot on low, in a press pot or an electric tea kettle, with the bottle of bourbon close by.
