Barb's Magic Apple Pie

Fig It!

Preheat oven to 425°
Spray pie pan

Apple Filling:

1 1/2 cups sugar (I usually use less)
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
mix together in a small bowl

Peel and slice 6-8 Granny Smith
Pour mixture over layers as you fill large bowl with apple slices
let apple and sugar mix while you make crust

Easy Crust:

2 cups flour
1tsp salt
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cold milk

mix in ingredients in bowl
divide into 2 balls ( I usually put the 2nd one in the fridge or freezer while rolling out the 1st)
roll out dough between to sheets of wax paper.
When all is put together add a few pats of butter to top.

BAKE at 425° for 15mins
then lower temp to 350° and bake for 45 more minutes
**I highly recommend putting foil below pie tin in case juice overflows which it often does with this recipe. Also why I usually put less sugar in.
