This almond banana smoothie adds protein to your work out with the combination of Greek yogurt, almond butter and chia seeds. This smoothie packs about 25 g of protein.

Yield: 12 oz

Ingredients:

1/2 cup yogurt, Greek

1 banana, ripe

2 Tablespoons almond butter, fresh ground

1/4 cup milk or almond milk

1 Tablespoon honey, local or agave

1 Tablespoon chia seeds

1/8 teaspoon vanilla, extract, pure

1 cup ice

Method:

1. Combine all of the above ingredients in a blender, blend until smooth. The Chia seeds will add a bit of texture to the smoothie, thickening it, the longer it sits.
